    Regulations for the 1/8 Distance

    • 3. Date, Distance, Course

      • The competition will take place on May 31, 2025 (Saturday), race start: 9:00 AM, rolling start
      • The start location is on the beach at Lake Jaroszewskie – start from the shore
      • The finish line is located on the athletics stadium of TKKF in Sieraków
      Part I of the competition:
      • Swimming 475 m (Lake Jaroszewskie), 1 lap.
      • Expected water temperature: 16°C.
      • Time limit for swimming completion: 30 min.
      Part II of the competition:
      • Cycling 22.5 km (1 lap x 22.5 km, route: TKKF Center on Poznańska Street, Sieraków, Góra, Kurnatowice, Kwilcz, and Grobia) – moderately hilly terrain.
      • HELMET MANDATORY. The entire course is closed to traffic.
      • Non-drafting race – riding closer than 12m behind another competitor is prohibited!
      • All types of bicycles are allowed.
      • Time limit for completing swimming and cycling: 1.5 h.
      Part III of the competition:
      • Running 5.275 km (1 lap).
      • Surface: forest trails and tartan track.
      • GPS course measurement.
      • Time limit for completing the competition: 2.5 h.

      1. The fee includes:
      • Timing chip
      • Professional timing for each discipline and transition zones
      • Waterproof race number to be placed on a belt/elastic band
      • Number stickers for the bike, helmet, and souvenir sticker
      • Event-branded water bottle
      • Commemorative finisher medal
      • Professional medical assistance
      • Swim stage security by water rescue teams with floating equipment
      • Supervision by licensed PZTri referees
      2. After registration, the entry fee can be paid immediately or by logging into the registration panel using the login and password provided during registration through the electronic payment system

      The entire payment process is managed by the payment operator, and the contract is concluded with the entity designated by the payment operator.
      3. Participants (a participant is defined as a person who starts the competition from the swimming stage) will receive a cycling jersey with the event logo.
      The gift is available only to the first 1,000 participants who register for the event and complete their payment by November 30, 2024.
      If the 1,000 participant limit is reached before November 30, 2024, those exceeding this number will not receive the gift.
      Those who register by November 30 but do not complete the payment will not be eligible for the gift.
      The gift is only for participants who take part in the competition.
      Non-participants will not receive the gift, and there is no possibility of collection by third parties or shipping during or after the event.
    • 4. Refund Policy for Withdrawal:

      • A refund is not possible if the participant has not purchased cancellation insurance or opted for a deferral to the next year.
      • There is an option to pay a cancellation fee amounting to 20% of the entry package fee. This cancellation fee can only be paid at the time of registration for the event.
      • Cancellation requests must be sent to kontakt@tritour.com.pl no later than 30 days before the event, with a final deadline of May 1, 2025. Cancellation requests submitted after this date will not be accepted.
      • After submitting the cancellation request, the full amount paid for the entry package, minus the cancellation insurance fee, will be refunded to the account from which the payment was made within 60 days of the request. However, we strive to process refunds earlier whenever possible.
      • The entry fee cannot be deferred to the next year.
      • The full entry package or any part of it cannot be collected by anyone other than the registered participant listed on the start list.
      • Unclaimed entry packages during the designated office hours will be forfeited.
      • The entry fee can be transferred to another participant upon payment of a handling fee of 20 PLN and covering the difference in entry fees, based on the current fee tier on the date of data change.
      • Unclaimed entry packages will not be shipped during or after the event and will be forfeited.
    • 5. Classifications

      • Age Categories M/F: 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
    • 6. Awards

      • Age Categories (Men & Women): 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ trophies for places 1-3
      • Each race finisher will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.
      • Awards can only be collected during the final awards ceremony at the end of the event.
    • 7. Participation Conditions

      • The right to participate in the competition is granted to individuals who will be at least 18 years old on May 31, 2025, and who present an identity document during verification, pay the entry fee, and sign a statement confirming their voluntary participation in the event. Individuals born between 2007-2010 may participate if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the registration office, who must sign a statement accepting responsibility for their participation and pay the entry fee.
      • Participants registering for the event by completing the registration form on the event’s website confirm their knowledge and acceptance of the regulations and consent to the unrestricted use of their image in photos or videos from the event, as well as their name and surname in promotional and advertising materials for the JBL Triathlon Sieraków.
      • Each participant is required to hold a valid Polish Triathlon Association (PZTri) license – either a one-time or annual license.
      • A participant may compete both in the relay and in the individual competition at the same time, provided they pay the entry fee for both events.
      Prohibited Substances, Doping:
      • The use of doping is strictly prohibited.
      • Participants found to be using prohibited substances will be held accountable according to the anti-doping regulations established by the Polish Anti-Doping Agency.
      • Every participant is required to undergo anti-doping control both during and outside the competition, in accordance with the Act on Combating Doping in Sport of April 21, 2017 (Journal of Laws of May 31, 2017).
    • 8. Registration, Start List

      • After completing the registration, the entry fee for the participant’s package can be paid either immediately after registration or by logging into the registration panel using the login and password provided during registration via the electronic payment system

      • Once the registration form is completed and the entry fee is paid, the participant will be placed on the start list.
      • The registration date is determined by the date of payment, which is considered the date the fee is credited to the organizer’s account.
      • The participant limit is 500 people.
      • Registrations are accepted until April 30, 2025, unless the maximum number of participants on the start list is reached earlier.

      2. The legal basis for processing athletes’ personal data is Article 23, section 1, point 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act (UODO) and Article 6, section 1, letter b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – contract execution (accepting the regulations and registering for the competition constitutes contract conclusion).
      3. Personal data of participants will be processed to fulfill the contract, including organization, preparation, execution, and promotion of the event.
      4. Processing also includes communication with the participant through emails or SMS messages sent to the addresses or phone numbers provided during registration.
      5. Data processing also includes the publication of the participant’s image, name, and the results achieved during the competition.
      6. Providing personal data as mentioned in sections 3 and 4, and consenting to their processing, is voluntary. However, failure to provide them will prevent participation in the competition.
      7. Participants have the right to:

        4. Restrict data processing
        5. Withdraw consent for data processing
        6. File a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office
      8. The exercise of rights under point 7 can be carried out by submitting a written statement specifying the violation and the request, sent to the Administrator’s correspondence address or via email:

      9. The personal data administrator does not transfer data to third countries or international organizations.
      10. The administrator will not transfer data to third parties unless their disclosure is necessary for the proper execution of the contract, or the data transfer is based on the participant’s consent or applicable legal regulations.
      11. The administrator declares that security measures are applied to protect processed personal data against loss, destruction, and unauthorized modification.
    • 12. Final Remarks

      1. The organizer reserves the right to shorten, change the route, modify the start time, interrupt, or cancel the competition due to force majeure. Force majeure includes any external, sudden, and unavoidable event, such as extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, a state of emergency, an epidemic, a pandemic, war, terrorist acts, strikes, the water level in the lake preventing swimming, new legal regulations, or administrative decisions preventing the organizer from conducting the competition.
      2. In the event of the above-mentioned circumstances beyond the organizer’s control, participants are not entitled to a refund of the entry fee or any costs incurred in connection with participation.
      3. The organizer reserves the right to refuse the registration of any participant without providing a reason.
      4. Participants who do not comply with these regulations may be disqualified.
      5. The use of any communication devices, such as mobile phones, walkie-talkies, radios, or music players, is prohibited.
      6. Participants must maintain a minimum distance of 12 meters between cyclists.
      7. In the event of a bicycle failure, the participant must move to the roadside in such a way as not to obstruct the race.
      8. Participation in the Pasta Party is free of charge for competitors. Entry to the technical briefing and Pasta Party is possible only by presenting the competitor’s wristband received during verification at the race office.
      9. The organizer holds liability insurance for the event. Competitors may purchase additional accident insurance (NNW) at their own discretion.
      10. During the competition, the organizer ensures medical assistance. Medical staff decisions regarding the continuation or withdrawal from the competition are final, and participants must comply.
      11. The competition will be conducted according to the rules of the Polish Triathlon Association and these regulations.
      12. Any disputes arising during the competition will be resolved by the jury.
      13. Participants have the right to file a protest within 2 hours of disqualification or race completion, accompanied by a deposit of 100 PLN. If the protest is upheld, the deposit will be refunded.
      14. The organizer is not responsible for participants’ equipment or belongings left unattended at the competition venue or lost.
      15. In the event of theft or damage to equipment, the competitor must report the incident to the organizer and the police before leaving the transition area.
      16. Participants are required to strictly follow the instructions and directives of the organizer and any security services responsible for the safety of the event.
      17. Each participant is fully responsible for any damage they cause at the venue, both to other participants and to the organizer’s or third-party property.
      18. The organizer has the right to exclude a participant from the race if their behavior poses a threat to other competitors or disrupts the smooth running of the event.
      19. It is strictly prohibited to bring or consume any intoxicants, illegal substances, alcohol, or performance-enhancing drugs at the venue. Violators will be disqualified.
      20. The organizer reserves the right to amend the regulations, provided that participants are informed of such changes in writing or during the technical briefing before the start of the competition.
      21. Requests for VAT invoices must be submitted during the registration process by selecting the appropriate option in the registration form.
      22. Race packets can only be collected during the official working hours of the race office. Unclaimed packets will not be issued or sent at a later date.
      23. The transfer of a race packet to another person after collection is strictly prohibited. The organizer is not responsible for any consequences resulting from transferring a race packet to another individual.
      24. The lost and found office operates for 30 days after the race. Items can be sent to participants at their expense.
      25. Each participant is responsible for covering their own costs related to the race, including travel, accommodation, and meals.
      26. The interpretation of these regulations belongs to the organizer.
      27. Any matters not covered by these regulations will be decided by the organizer.
